Well it's been ages since I posted ANYTHING on DeviantArt. But it's been ages since I've had anything of this magnitude to process. I guess I'm about a month into quarantine life. And as is, my neck of the woods is on lockdown until May 15. I'm also seeing a lot of cons that I enjoy get cancelled. Not a moment goes by without me hearing more shitty news about our way of life. I won't act like I don't see the point in our social distancing and Safer-At-Home order because I get it, we have a serious threat on our hands. But before this insanity, I was already feeling socially isolated. I grew up extremely shy, introverted, and socially awkward. I didn't get attached to people easily and didn't participate in many social events, dodged school activities, resisted dating, and flaked out on parties because I wanted to be at home playing video games, listening to music, or studying. For those of you who aren't aware of the recent tragedy within the Nintendo community, Satoru Iwata, the president and CEO of Nintento, passed away yesterday. In honor of him, I want to share how I became a gamer. It all began when I was six years old and my friend, Jake, got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas 1998.
